Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. The six-question tool doesn't ask for your name, phone number, or email. It collects only your gender, birth date, general health level, tobacco status, desired coverage amount, and preferred term. That's all we need to return carrier quotes. Contact details are collected later, only if you choose to apply.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
The rates shown represent what each carrier is willing to quote for the health class you specified. After underwriting, the final premium may be confirmed, improved, or adjusted by the carrier based on their evaluation. These figures are for information purposes only and not an insurance offer or guarantee of any specific rate.
What happens when I click Apply?
When you select Apply, you provide your name, and the application is initialized from the quote you chose. The process moves to a secure platform operated by the carriers, where you can pause and resume at any point. Your signature is added electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurance firm (License 0B75129), manages the application.
Will I need a medical exam?
The answer depends on your carrier selection, coverage amount, and personal health profile. Many carriers now offer rapid underwriting for qualified applicants, which may waive the paramedical exam requirement and deliver a decision in a single day. Each quote displayed indicates whether the specific product requires, possibly requires, or does not require a medical examination.
Is a longer term better?
That's your choice. A term should cover the period during which your family would suffer genuine hardship from the loss of your income. Longer terms let you lock in a rate for additional years, but cost more each month. The tool lets you compare monthly costs across 10-, 15-, 20-, 25-, and 30-year options side by side.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quote tool collects no personal information, we do not distribute or sell visitor data, and measurement is cookieless and respects Do Not Track signals. The first-party analytics system also honors Global Privacy Control. Our content delivery network supplies a cookieless tracker that doesn't read Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.
